Sitting In Red River...

Kinda funny working in environments with friends...they share the same values you do. The end result: it's Friday, 530, and we're sitting in one of office conference rooms, watching them drink beer, and hearing them discuss bad war stories on technology and bad, dead computer languages (though everyone's expressing surprise at the longevity of C).

Did I mention that I hate beer?

Gah. Apparently the last cider was taken.

Now the conversation's devolved into muscle memory and remembering how to do emacs, VI. Pico. Blackberries, thumbs and wheels and why are QWERTY keyboards still around. ;)

It's strangely familiar and very comforting.

Maybe that's what I should do--spend my blog time on technology, friends, culture, work, and the intersections of all of those things. Sure would get farther than discussing cooking.

Why am I still at the office? Cause I got my new laptop with me and as Eccles isn't at home, there's really no reason not to sit here, with the shiny G4, and visiting with smart people that I really like.
